Storm Motorsport Announce the Addition of Lauren Dunleavy to their Driver Development Programme
Storm Motorsport is excited to announce the addition of 16-year-old, Bristol-based racer Lauren Dunleavy to their Driver Development Programme.
Lauren’s karting career took off at her local circuit, Castle Combe, where her passion for motorsport first ignited. In 2023, she made a significant impact as the highest-scoring rookie at the Castle Combe Spring Championships, finishing 11th among 90 entrants. Returning in 2024, she distinguished herself further by earning the title of highest-scoring female driver in the Autumn Championships, where she secured 4th place out of 90 competitors.
Currently competing in the IAME Senior X30 Championship with one of the UK’s top karting teams, Jade Karts, Lauren is gaining invaluable race experience and refining her technical skills, setting the stage for the next chapter of her career.
Storm Motorsport’s Driver Development Programme is designed and curated with years of industry experience from founder, Jonny Heynes, with the aim to start young drivers on their path of the motorsport ladder.
Working in collaboration with parents, guardians, and driver managers, Storm Motorsport are providing the next generation of motorsport stars with the platform and guidance they need to embark on their journey to success.
In 2025, Lauren will take the next major step in her development by undergoing an intensive training programme in Storm Motorsport’s Tatuus F4-T421. This experience will provide a crucial foundation for refining her race craft, with the ultimate goal of transitioning from karting to single-seater racing.
Storm Motorsport Founder, Jonny Heynes, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Lauren to the Storm Motorsport Driver Development Programme. Her talent and dedication have been clear, especially following her impressive results in recent tests. With the support of our experienced team, we are confident that Lauren has the potential to thrive and make a successful transition to single-seater racing.”
Lauren commented:
“I’m beyond excited to be joining Storm Motorsport this year. The opportunity to gain experience in single-seater racing is a huge step forward for me, and I’m looking forward to taking on this new challenge.”
